Jason R. Adkins, age 35, of Marion, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.
Jason was born on July 1, 1980, in Marion, Indiana the son of Melanie Blocker. He was a graduate of Marion High School. He was a resident of Phoenix Community Services in Anderson for the past 6 months. He loved music, the Community School of Arts, singing and dancing and watching fireworks. He also loved his iced coffees. Jason was a very, very special guy and he loved people. He had a smile that never quit.
He is survived by his mother, Melanie Blocker of Gas City; a brother, Nathan Adkins of Marion, Indiana; aunt, Jo Beth Blocker of Marion, Indiana; uncle, Dave Blocker of Marion, Indiana; special cousin, Susan Highland of Illinois; and several cousins.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Brad Luzadder officiating. Friends and family may call from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the Memorial Service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of Indiana, 1800 N. Meridian Street, Suite 600, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202; or the Marion-Grant County Humane Society, 505 S. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953.
