Jeanetta R. Stevens

JEANETTA RONK STEVENS, 93, Heritagespring Drive, West Chester, Ohio, passed away on April 22, 2010 at 10:55 p.m. Mrs. Stevens was born in Kokomo, Indiana, to the late Harley and Jessie (Welsh) Ronk. She was a 1935 graduate of Kokomo High School and received a diloma from Indiana Business College. Married to Paul Dunn Stevens on September 27, 1938, they lived in Indianapolis, Indiana from 1938 to 1962 when Paul was transferred to RCA in Marion and they moved to Sweetser, Indiana. Paul died on August 16, 1968. Jeanetta retired from RCA in 1982.

During Jeanetta's years in Sweetser, she was a member of the Marion Church of the Brethren, American Business Women's Association, Marion Women's Department Club, the CMT Club of Sweetser.



She is survived by a son, Richard (Karen Korporal) Stevens, Marion; Diane S. (Larry Abernathy), West Chester, Ohio; grandchildren Joshua Paul Abernathy, Monroe, Ohio; Paula Elaine Walden, Tipton, Indiana and James Gideon (Erica) Abernathy, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Jeanetta was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Lee Stevens. Great-grandchildren include Kaylee Walden, Corey Walden, and Gabe Kloster.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 26, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Sunset Memory Garden, Kokomo, Indiana.
