JERRY D. CASSIDY, age 56, of Marion, passed away at 4:17 a.m. Sunday, August 9 in Marion General Hospital. Jerry fought a courageous four year battle against kidney cancer.
He was born on June 28, 1953, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Schuyler and Jean (Payne) Cassidy. He married Kathleen Carlson in October 1996.
Jerry worked as an automatic machine operator 32 years for Ball Foster Glass Company, Marion and Saint Gobain Glass Company, Dunkirk.
Survivors include: wife, Kathleen Carlson of Marion, Indiana; sons, Jerry Cassidy (Amber) of Marion, Indiana and Brian Cassidy (Amanda) of Upland, Indiana; sister, Lois Cassidy (Cal Skinner) of Fairmount, Indiana; brothers, James Cassidy of Marion, Indiana and Michael Cassidy (Mary) of Marion, Indiana; grandchildren, Brian, Rileigh and Schuyler, all of Upland, Indiana; and nieces & nephews, Michael Cassidy (Debby), Jamie Wikersham, David Cassidy & Missy Cassidy.
There will be no visitation or service. Cremation burial will be in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion with private graveside service at a later date.
