Jerry Dean Duling, age 58, passed away Friday morning October 1, 2010, at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, Marion, Indiana.
Jerry was born on March 19, 1952, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Meredith and June (Skinner) Duling.
Jerry served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Denver during the Vietnam Conflict. Jerry spent the years of life working at Chrysler in Kokomo, truck driving, and trimming trees with life-long friend, Miles Killian.
Racing and outdoors were always enjoyed. Jerry loved spending time in his RV and sitting around the campfire. Many churches impacted Jerry's life and he loved and appreciated the Bennetts Switch United Methodist Church, the First Church of the Nazarene (Marion, Indiana), and the church he called home, Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church (Marion, Indiana).
His greatest enjoyment was found in spending time with his closest friends, his church family, his kids, and his grandchildren.
Survivors include: two daughters, Rebecca (Rev. Josh) Bowlin of Auckland, New Zealand, and Alison (Jeremy) Mossburg, of Marion, Indiana; three grandchildren, Cail Grayce, Averie Mae, and Tayt Jebadiah Bowlin of Auckland, New Zealand; Aunts and Uncles, Bud and Clarell-Nadine Graham of Marion, Indiana, Jack and Martha Skinner of Greenwood, Indiana, and Hattie Duling of Kentucky. Many loved cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Meredith and June Duling, and a brother, Loren Duling.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Reverends Steve Colter and Norm Snyder officiating.
Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
