Jess William "Uncle Jess" Kerlin, age 54, died Sunday, March 21, 2010 in Converse.
Jess was born on May 12, 1955, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Joseph Kerlin, Sr. and Betty (Haskell) Kerlin.
He was a self-employed carpenter and handyman and had worked odd jobs over the years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #711, Van Buren. He was a member of United States Marine Corp.
Survivors include, brother, Michael Allen Kerlin (Diane) of Landess, Indiana; two sisters, Linda Craft of Converse, Indiana, and Nancy Floyd of Indianapolis, Indiana; and several nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Van Buren Cemetery, Van Buren, Indiana.
Friends may call one hour prior to services on Thursday, March 25 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
