Jessie Ann Moorehead, age 79, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013, at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.
Jessie was born May 24, 1933, in Talmadge Township, Michigan, the daughter of the late Rev. James Chrispell and Bertha (Rose) Chrispell.
She married James A. Moorehead, Sr. who preceded her in death. She worked for Walt Coyle Volkswagen, the State of Indiana, Erik's Chevrolet and retired from Bill McCoy Ford in Muncie.
Her first passion in life was her family and her letters to family and friends will be cherished forever. Her second passion was reading and learning everything she could from thousands of books.
Survivors include: daughter, Renee' (Kevin) Cox of Marion, Indiana; step-daughter, Sandra (Bill) Nichols of Alliance, Ohio; step-son, James (Pat) Moorehead, Jr. of South Bend, Indiana; step-son, John Moorehead of Tamarac, Florida; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Cook of Amboy, Indiana; grandchildren, Derek (Courtney) Kibble of Fishers, Indiana, Danial Kibble of Indianapolis, Indiana, Morgan McCarty of Indianapolis, Indiana, Amanda Harvey (Emilie Trent) of Amboy, Indiana, Debbie (John) Pattison of Marion, Indiana, Mary (Steve) Fode of Upland, Indiana, Rick (Karla) Treber of Sweetser, Indiana; 14 great-grandchildren, and brother, Charles (Donnie) Chrispell of Phoenix, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Moorehead, Sr.; son, Lynn (Bud) Moorehead; grandson, Jason Moorehead; and brother, Rev. Richard (Dick) Chrispell.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Dwight Elliott officiating.
Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana at a later date.
Friends may call from Noon to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
