Johanna Hauer, age 100, died at 9:10 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2010, at Sterling House of Marion.
Johanna was born on July 13, 1909, in East Prussia, the daughter of the late Frederick and Julianna Gergens. She married Albert Hauer and he preceded her in death in 1976.
She was a faithful member of St. James Lutheran Church where she was part of the Forever Young group and the Dorcus Sewing Guild. She loved to watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and enjoyed gardening and baking. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include, daughter, Jackie Davies (Richard) of Marcellus, New York; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Delores Sisson on September 29, 2008 and three sisters.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2010, at St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Avenue, with the Pastor Mark Carlson officiating.
Burial will be in Memory Lane Memorial Park, Shererville, Indiana.
Friends may call one hour prior to services on Friday, May 21 at the church.
