JOHN E. OLIVER, age 75, of Marion, died at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.
JOHN was born on August 24, 1933, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of the late Emery and Willeane (Goserud) Oliver. He married Ruth Ann Brackett. She survives.
He worked at Sunoco Products in Marion until his retirement. He attended Brookhaven Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include Wife, Ruth Ann Oliver of Marion, Indiana; Sons, John Oliver, Jr. (Roxie) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois; Conrad Oliver and Mark Oliver, both of Rochester, Minnesota; Daughter, Marilyn Oliver of Rochester, Minnesota; Sister, Rosalie Roh of Madison, Wisconsin; Grandchildren, Jacob Ryan Oliver of Rochester, Minnesota; Justin Oliver (Anne) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois; and Velvet Starr Haisley (Neil) of Fairmount, Indiana; and Great-Grandchildren, Shelby Haisley of Fairmount, Indiana and Mitchell & Ethan Oliver of Mt. Sterling, Illinois.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Joel Ryan Oliver.
Services will be private.
