John Henry Jackson, age 80, of Miracle, KY., passed away Friday March 1, 2013. He was born May 13, 1932 at Balkan, Kentucky the son of the late Samps and Mary Wilson Jackson.
He was a member of the Oakdale Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War.
In addition to his Parents he was preceded in death by a Daughter, Judy Trout.
Survivors Include: Wife, Zella Jackson of Miracle, KY.; 2 Daughters, Janet (Craig Sponburgh) Marks of Wildwood, FL. and Sandy (Jim) McCracken of The Villages, FL.; 2 Sisters, Viola (Rev. Alonzo) Miracle of Middlesboro and Sarah Ellen Shell of Miracle, KY.; 7 Grandchildren, Jason Trout, Angela Burcroff, Andy Malls, Christy Jacob, Lindsay Trout, Katie Wilson, and Jeff McCracken; 14 Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Miracle presiding.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Creech Funeral Home.
A Funeral service will also be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
