John E. "Eddie" Wyatt, age 80, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015, in Marion General Hospital.
He was born September 26, 1934, in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Oran and Mary Etta (Collier) Wyatt. He married Eveline McCoy on December 23, 1962, and she survives.
Eddie was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict earning a Good Conduct Medal, the Korea Service Medal, 3 Bronze Stars, the United Nation Service Medal and the Nation Defense Medal. He owned and operated E & H Auto Sales in Marion and enjoyed selling cars for 50 years, until his retirement.
Eddie was a lifetime member of the Amvets, the American Legion and the V. F. W. He was very funny and loved to tell jokes, and was an all-around people person. He also enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eveline Wyatt of Marion, Indiana; a son, Billy (Maryann) Wyatt of Gas City; sister-in-law, Linda Craft of Marion, Indiana; brothers-in-law, Robert Spence of Arkansas and Vernon (Susan) McCoy of Georgia; grandchildren, Savanah (Kyle) Bencent of Gas City and Chad (Sabrine) Wyatt of Wabash, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Huie (Sharon) Spence of Arkansas, Sharri (Ken) Hinshaw of Florida, Mike (Sharon) Craft of Kentucky, Kenny (Kathy) Craft of Marion, Robin (Mike Gump) of Marion, Carol (Randy) Justice of Georgia, Jared (Sarah) Burnett of New Orleans, Jason Burnett of Florida, Randy Allen (Autumn) Justice of Georgia, Greg (Beth) McCoy of Georgia, DeAnn McCoy of Georgia and Rhonda (Trevor) Greenwald of Texas; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Tina Wyatt and Deborah Wyatt; and sisters, Zenda Spence and Mary Virginia Bailer.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
Burial with full military rites will be held immediately following funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
