JOSEPH E. CAIN, age 77, of Marion, died at 2:25 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008, at Marion General Hospital, Marion.
JOE was born on May 3, 1931, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Dr. E.O. Daniels and Susan (Williams) Daniels. He married Mary Mitchell on December 31, 1952. She survives.
JOE was a graduate of Purdue University. For 33 years he worked at the Marion General Motors plant, formerly Fisher Body retiring from the personnel department in 1991.
He served in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the V.F.W.
He was also a member of First Christian Church. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time on his farm. He loved to be around people especially so his family and friends.
Survivors include Wife, Mary Cain of Marion, Indiana; Daughter, Sabrina Rainey (Larry) of Colorado; Uncle, John Fleenor (Wilma) of Marion, Indiana; Aunt, Joan Fleenor of Marion, Indiana; Aunt, Lois Jean Swaim of Marion, Indiana and Grandchildren, Allison Jarrett, Phillip Luce & Stephanie Luce.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Rodger Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call one hour prior to services on Thursday at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
