Jr. Lester A. Eber

LESTER A. EBER, JR., age 83, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor, Marion.
He was born July 11, 1926, in Akron, Indiana, the son of the late Lester A. and Ruth (Hiekes) Eber. He was a Navy veteran serving during WWII. He was a self-employed truck driver for 30 years, working for various trucking companies until his retirement in 1980. He was a very active member of the Main Street Wesleyan Church in Jonesboro.
Survivors include: son, Dave Eber of Jonesboro, Indiana; daughter, Carol Ann Hoglund (John) of Florida; sister, Helen Harbaugh of Elkhart, Indiana; and 2 grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Eber.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2009, at the Main Street Wesleyan Church, 801 S. Main Street, Jonesboro, with Reverend Duane Seitz officiating.
Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
