Jr. Dr. Ernest F. Krebs

Dr. Ernest F. Krebs, Jr., age 85, of Marion died at 4:37 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2009, at home.
He was born on June 11, 1924, in Pueblo, Colorado, the son of the late Ernest and Clarice (Sweet) Krebs. He married Ruth Bassett who preceded him in death on September 30, 2008.
Dr. Krebs, a Marion Optometrist had his own practice in downtown Marion for many years until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church; the Elks Country Club and the Model A Club. He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include: two sons, Steven Krebs of Marion, Indiana; and Ernest Krebs III (Judy) of Avon, Indiana; daughter, Karen King (Rodney) of Marion, Indiana; three grandchildren, Matt Krebs, Jodi King, and Neely King; one great-grandson, Cleo Beck; and his dog, Max.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2009, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Reverend Mark Carlson officiating.
Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
