Julia A. “Judy” Collins, age 77, of Gas City went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, November 4, 2019 in her home.
Judy was born August 26, 1942 in Esserville, Virginia the daughter of the late Hannibal and Nancy “Nanny” (Willis) Hall. She was a Technical Specialist for Indiana Bell for 36 years until her retirement in 2007.
Judy was a lifetime member of the Church of God in Virginia. She enjoyed going to auctions, listening to old vinyl records and took great pride in taking care of her home. She was also a big fan of Elvis Presley and George Jones.
Judy is survived by a son, John (Joanna) Collins of Marion; brothers, Franklin “Frank” (Jan) Hall of Arizona and John T. Hall of Lebo, Kansas; and three grandchildren, Cassie Collins of Texas, Leslie Collins of Florida, and John Collins, Jr. of Marion.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Richard Hall and Loras Hall.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 in the funeral home with Pastor Cory Clark officiating.
Cremation will take place following funeral services with burial at a later date in Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Family Life Care Hospice, 705 S. Baldwin Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953.
