Julie Pinkerton

Julie Pinkerton, a bright light in the lives of those who knew her, passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. On May 3, 1960, in Muncie, Indiana, Julie’s journey through this world began and was characterized by her unwavering kindness and her vibrant spirit.

For over 20 years, Julie dedicated herself to her career as a waitress at Hostess House, where her warm smile and infectious laughter made her a fixture in the lives of patrons and coworkers alike. Her personality was a blend of enormous heart and steadfast honesty, traits that endeared her to all who encountered her. Julie loved engaging in meaningful conversations, sharing stories, and creating memorable experiences with her guests.

Not only did she pour love into her work, but she also cherished her time outside of it. Julie found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from exploring local casinos and attending lively festivals to shopping sprees and discovering new restaurants. Recently, she unearthed a newfound passion for concerts, reveling in the magic of music and the company of friends. Her friends were her family. With them, Julie created a tapestry of memories filled with laughter, adventure, and camaraderie.

At the heart of her home were her beloved cats, Salem and Riley, who brought comfort and companionship to her life. Julie also mourned the loss of her departed feline friend, Brock, who will forever hold a place in her heart. She treasured the bond shared with her best friend, Victoria Harrell, and the many friendships that shaped her world.

Julie is preceded in death by her sister, Judy Goens and the rest of her family. As we celebrate Julie's life, we remember a kind and loving woman who lived with no-nonsense authenticity.

In celebrating the life of Julie Pinkerton, we invite family and friends to join in honoring her memory. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hostess House, 723 W. 4th Street, Marion, IN 46952, on September 5, 2024, from noon to 3:00p.m. Let us gather to remember the vibrant joy she brought into our lives, and may her spirit continue to inspire us to live with love and laughter.
