JUNE K. PHINNEY, age 88, formerly of Marion, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at the home of her son in League City, Texas.
JUNE was born on March 29, 1920, in Portland, Indiana, the daughter of the late Joseph Lester Baughman and Mabel (Garringer) Baughman. She married Robert Frederick Phinney. He preceded her in death.
She worked in the office at Bell Fibre until her retirement. She was a former member of the First Friends Church in Marion. She loved to read.
Survivors include Son, Dale Eugene Phinney (Pat) of League City, Texas; Sister, Frances Ritter of Muncie, Indiana; and 2 grandchildren, Robert Dale Phinney of Austin, Texas and Gwen Rebekah Phinney of League City, Texas.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend George Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family sincerely requests that memorial donations be made to First Friends Church, 2211 N. Wabash Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46952.
