Karla Treber

Karla Treber, beloved mother of Jeff and Tory Sellers, and wife of the late Rick Treber. Her best buddy Harper (dog).  She passed away on August 28, 2024 at Wellbrooke of Wabash, Indiana. Born on December 4, 1956, in Marion, Indiana, 

Karla had worked as a sales associate at K-Mart.  She established lifelong friends while working there. She also worked as a service writer for Dorais Chevrolet and Wabash Valley Chrysler. Karla and her cousins had wonderful times and memories while working at the Bunker Hil Dragstrip while growing up. Karla’s life was marked by kindness and generosity and love of family and friends.

Karla leaves behind a loving family, including her mother, Jan Hullinger, her sons, Jeff (Ashley) Sellers and Troy Sellers, and her stepdaughters, Ericka (Korey) Bougher and Cassie (Ryan) Robrahn. She is also survived by her siblings, Curt (Kathy) Hullinger, Kathy (Kris) Kramer, along with sisters-in-law Deborah (John) Pattison, Mary (Steve) Fode, and Stacy (Ricky) Byrd. Karla was a proud grandmother to Peyton McPeak (fiancé Kylie Smalley), Karsyn Bougher, Kyla McPeak, Korbin Bougher, Ava Sellers, Elise Sellers, and Olivia Sellers.

She was preceded in death by her father, C. Dale Hullinger, and her husband, Richard "Rick" Treber Jr.

Visitation for Karla Treber will be held on September 4, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lafontaine United Methodist Church, located at 2 W Kendall St, La Fontaine, IN 46940. A funeral service will follow at the same location starting at 12:00 PM and concluding at 1:00 PM.

Karla's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will be profoundly missed in her community and among her family.
