Kathleen Bea (Sollars) Keen, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center, Marion, Indiana.
She was born into the family of the late Alexander and Bertha Ellen Sollars near Kingman, Indiana in Fountain County on November 21, 1927. She married Carl Keen, Jr. on May 22, 1946, and he preceded her in death in December 1997.
She had a nickname of "Katie Did" growing up and was the first in the Sollars family to graduate from high school. Her and twin sister were tenth in a family of twelve. She was a member of the Pointe Church in Marion.
She is survived by a son, Stephen Keen (Neva); daughter, Carol Keen; grandchildren, Kelly Burns (Jim), Shana Martz, Brooke Robertson, Travis (Tiffany) Keen and Amber Keen; great-grandchildren, Hailey Markley, Colten Markley, River Allen Keen, Drew Robertson, Brianna Robertson and Blake Martz; twin sister, Madelyn Marshall; brother, Ronald Sollars; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a her parents, her husband, Carl, two sons, Richard and Brian Keen; two daughters-in-law, June Keen and LouAnn Keen; sisters, Marjorie Keen and Maycel Williamson; brothers, Virgil, Donald, Irvin, Norman, infant twin boys, and infant girl.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2015 at The Pointe Church, 3340 S. Lincoln Blvd., Marion, Indiana with Evangelist Jack Marshall officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana immediately following funeral services.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday in the church prior to funeral services.
