Keith A. King, age 48, of Marion, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012, at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.

Keith was born on May 11, 1963, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Roy King and is survived by his mother Roberta (Riddle) King. He married Jill Pettit on May 25, 1996 and she also survives. He was a Navy veteran.

Keith worked in construction for Local Union #1112. He was a member of the American Legion Post #10 in Marion and had volunteered for many activities. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with them. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, bowling, golfing, playing corn hole and being with his friends. Keith most loved hanging out in his "Geerage".

Survivors include: wife, Jill King of Marion, Indiana; mother, Roberta (Riddle) King of Marion, Indiana; step-son, Chad (Staci) Swanner of Marion, Indiana; step-daughter, Melissa (Israel) Swanner of Gas City, Indiana; brother, Dave (Joyce) King of Marion, Indiana; three sisters, Sandra Randall of Marion, Indiana, Loraine (David) Faulk of Marion, Indiana, and Rita (John) Morris of Redmond, Washington; step-grandchildren, Caleb, Dillon, Kiean, Issac & Isabella; several nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy King, two brothers-in-law, Farrell "Dean" Randall and Don Pettit, and mother-in-law, Betty Pettit.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2012, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.

Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.

Friends may call from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post #10, 1700 Pennsylvania Street, Marion, Indiana 46952.
