Kerry Lee Mazelin, age 64, of Hartford City, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at the VA Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Kerry was born February 19, 1948, in Decatur, Indiana, the son of the late Peter and Agnes (Habegger) Mazelin. He married Jane Dunlap on August 15, 1970, and she survives.
Kerry graduated from Ligonier High School in 1966 and attended Ball State University for 2 years. He was a retail manager at Danner's for more than 15 years and then worked at Alco until his retirement. He was also a Navy veteran.
Kerry was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, where he participated in the Outreach Program and was an Elder. He enjoyed traveling, maps, waterfalls and lighthouses. He was a Godly Man and loved the Lord.
Survivors include: wife, Jane (Dunlap) Mazelin of Hartford City, Indiana; two daughters, Tina (Bill) Leiner of Midland, Michigan, and Tammy (Chris) Berry of Hemlock, Michigan; brother, Gene (Vicki) Mazelin of Bangor, Michigan; and grandchildren, Hannah Leiner, Elizabeth Leiner, and Isaiah Mazelin Berry.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Teddy W. Mazelin.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2012, at St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana, with Pastor Gary Miller officiating.
Burial will be in Berne Cemetery, Berne, Indiana at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana; and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 22, 2012, at the church prior to funeral services.
