Kerry Ellen Murphy, age 53, passed away at Marion General Hospital on August 11, 2010 at 4:44 a.m., after a lifetime of professional care for profound Down's Syndrome.
She was born on April 9, 1957, in Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Burton Murphy, an analyst in the Department of the Interior, and William Melvin "Doc" Murphy, a nuclear health physicist.
She is survived by a sister, Kit Murphy McNally (Joel) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kerry's sister is director of a criminal justice agency whose husband is a current events television and radio commentator and professional journalist. Other survivors include, niece and nephews, Sean, Shannon, and Kelly McNally; cousins, Kim A. Rogers (Glenda), and Susan J. Rogers-Ashley, M.D., both of Marion, Indiana, and Lynn Owens Wiesman (Andrew) of Greenwood, Indiana.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin, Indiana.
