Kimberly (Kim) Herring, age 60, of Marion passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 8:43 a.m. at IU Health Ball Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.
Kim was proud to be born on her dad’s birthday, June 28, 1959 in Huntington, Indiana the daughter of the late Dean and Pauline (Hamilton) Carroll.
She worked at Thompson in Marion for 14 years. She loved planting flowers and enjoyed being around people. She was a “people person”. A special thank you to Dr. Patel, Dr. Miller, and Dr. Gonzales, also to all those at Ball Memorial for their exceptional care.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Herring, Marion, Indiana; step-son, William (Sheba) Herring, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; brothers, Jay (Kim) Carroll, Marion, Scott Carroll, Marion, and Keith Carroll, Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Rhonda (Tom) Hohman, Marion, Penny (Gary) Benson, Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Dinah (Theron) Gray, Decatur, Illinois; her best friends, Kristie Ackley, Marion, and Vicki Bearden-Chambers, Marion. She is also survived by her in-laws, Theodore and Marjorie Herring, Gas City; aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Clem; her parents; and a sister, Tammy Baker.
In honor of Kim’s wishes, services will be held at a later date at the Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
