Larry N. Barber, age 51, of Marion, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013, at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.
Larry was born August 12, 1962, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Irving and Ruth (Green) Barber.
Larry earned his Bachelor's degree in Horticulture at Purdue University. He owned and operated LNB Landscaping and Design and was a member of Bethel Worship Center where he volunteered for various church activities.
Larry was a kind, compassionate man and friend to all who were a part of his life. He always went above and beyond, helping his friends, family and anyone in need. Larry was an amazing landscape architect and his creativity and passion for his work was unique and inspiring. Larry's sense of humor, generous heart and contagious smile are some of the things that will be missed by all.
Survivors include: two brothers, Allen (LoRetta) Barber of Denver, Colorado, and Darrell Barber of Marion, Indiana; sister, Carol (Tony) Murphy of Marion, Indiana; godson, Gavriel Young; nieces, Melissa (Rod) Black of Columbus, Ohio, Megan Melby of Columbus, Ohio, and Allyson Barber of Circleville, Ohio; nephew, Connor Murphy of Marion, Indiana; and great nieces and nephews, Andrew & Gabriel Black, and Emma, Rajiv, and Arjun Bhatt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janet Barber.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Reverend Gary Dalton officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of Carol Murphy.
