Lena L. Graves

Lena L. "Granny" Graves, age 87, passed away at 9:16 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion.
Lena was born on April 30, 1924, in Allen County, Kentucky at the home of her grandfather, and was the daughter of the late Floyd and Daisy (Borders) Saylors. She married Cecil Graves and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1989.
Lena was a homemaker and loved quilting, canning and watching her Christian channels.
Survivors include: three sons, Earl Graves (Carolyn) of Marion, Indiana, Jerry Graves of Marion, Indiana, and Larry Graves (Phyllis) of Marion, Indiana; daughter, Carolyn Shugart (Tim) of Marion, Indiana; two brothers, Jimmy Saylors of Converse, Indiana, and Willy Saylors of Marion, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; and good friend, Emma Clayton.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, David Graves and Murl Graves, a daughter, Brenda Graves, and two grandsons, Jeremy Graves and David "Little Red" Graves, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Rev Gary Dywer officiating.
Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
