Lester G. Butler

Lester G. Butler, age 95, of Marion, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Wesleyan Health Care Center, Marion, Indiana.
Lester was born on July 8, 1917, in Dillman, Indiana, the son of the late Robert and Nora (Cruse) Butler. He married Mary E. Stevens, and she survives.
Lester was an Army veteran. He worked 25 years at Marion Trucking Company and in maintenance at the Davis Clinic for 15 years before his retirement.
He was a member of American Legion Post #368, Van Buren, Indiana.
Survivors include: wife, Mary Butler of Marion, Indiana; son, Dennis Butler of Montpelier, Indiana; granddaughter, Kristi (David) Singer of Marion, Indiana, and great-granddaughter, Shaylin Butler of Marion, Indiana.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Ronald and Ralph Butler; and sister, Esther Winger.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
