Leyanna K. (Boram) Staton, born February 14, 1966, age 44, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. She was the greatest daughter, wife and mother that anyone could ask for. She enjoyed helping others, laughing and making others laugh. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her family and wanted everyone to sit at the table to eat as a family during mealtime. She also loved going to garage sales with her friends, her dogs, Lucy and Ethel, and babysitting her granddaughter, Fae.
Leyanna married Kenneth Staton of Lebanon on March 28, 1987. Kenneth's job required extensive traveling where they traveled around the country for his work in a travel trailer. In 1995, they settled in Marion with their five children, Kyle, Christian, Josiah, Grace and Faith, all of Marion.
Leyanna opened a gift store in Marion on Gallatin Street across from the Mission, called "Leyanna's" where she was used by God to minister to others in the community. The store helped support the family while Kenneth attended Indiana Wesleyan University. She was employed at Comforts of Home in 2009 for a short time and did part-time house cleaning for Linda Grice.
She leaves behind her husband of 23 years, Kenneth Staton, originally of Lebanon; her 5 children; her parents, Ernest and Shirley Boram of Lebanon; one granddaughter, Fae Staton, and daughter-in-law, Whitney Staton, all who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Lee Boram of Lebanon who died in 1980 in a hunting accident; and grandparents, Annabelle and Robert Helms, and Arlie and Alberta Smith, all of Lebanon.
