Lois Joan Ware, age 88 of Marion, passed away Saturday September, 19, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor, Marion.
Joan was born on January 9, 1927 in Bippus, IN the daughter of the late Paul R. and Georgianna (Kase) Houser. She married Hugh H. Ware on July 10, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2008.
Joan was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was also a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Steven Ware (Rebecca) of New York City; daughters Sherry Fosnough of Kissimmee, Florida; Bonita Ware of Delaware, Ohio, and Georgia Ware of Marion, Indiana; sister, Barbara Jean Massey of Ohio; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Houser.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. James Lutheran Church, with Pastor William Lahrman officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday September 23, 2015 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
