Loren H. Mills, age 89, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2011, at home.
Loren was born on April 13, 1921, in Grant County, Indiana, the son of the late Verlie and Cora (Phillippe) Mills.
He attended the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Farm Bureau Cooperative Association, the Farmer's Progressive Farm Club, and the Exchange Club in Marion. He enjoyed traveling and farming.
Survivors include: son, Richard Mills (Susan) of Marion, Indiana; two daughters, Sherlyn Gard of Fairmount, Indiana, and Rebecca Smith (Thomas) of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Roger Gard, Leslie Fix, Aaron Smith, Joshua Smith, Karen Ulerick, Ryan Mills, and John Mills.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Leon (Bud), Carl and Perry Mills; two sisters, Eleanora Marshall and June Seacott, and great-grandson, Samuel Gard.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Sweetser, Indiana.
