Lucille J. Mccrory

Lucille J. McCrory, age 90, of Marion, died at 10:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Colonial Oaks Health Care Center, Marion.



She was born December 4, 1918, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of the late Leonard and Anna Semeyn. On August 23, 1946, she married Harold M. "Mac" McCrory. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2004.


She was a secretary for the Grand Rapids Telephone System for 28 years, retiring in 1956. She was a volunteer at Marion General Hospital for 32 years and a member of the Sympathy Club at General Motors.


Survivors include: grandson, Dennis Rhodes (Connie) of Sweetser, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Erin Rhodes of Marion, Indiana; Andrew Rhodes of Muncie, Indiana and Kylie Gady (Evan) of Ellettsville, Indiana; great-great grandson, Carson Gady of Ellettsville, Indiana; step granddaughters, Molly & Haley McCrory of Napa, California; nephew, William Brown (Sandy) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; niece, Joyce Brown of Shelbyville, Michigan, and wonderful friends, Rick & Nancy Jett of Marion, Indiana.


She was also preceded in death by a stepson, David McCrory; sister, Bette Brown and nephew, Gary Semeyn.


Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Rick Jett officiating.


Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.


Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
