Margaret Mary "Margo" Chambers, 63, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014, in Marion General Hospital Marion, Indiana.
She was born on May 31, 1950 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Leon and the late Evelyn (Borejka) Kita. She married Joseph Chambers on June 7, 1969 and he survives.
Margo was an elementary teacher at Marion Community Schools. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, doing crafts, traveling, cooking, gardening, and playing board games. She also enjoyed reading scripture, bible studies, and witnessing for Christ.
Survivors include her husband Joseph Chambers of Marion; daughter Tiffany Faith Chambers of Zionsville; son Matthew Joseph Chambers of Noblesville; sisters Susan (Dave) Kriegbaum of Marion; brother Oliver Kita of Bearville, NY; sister Patricia (Eric) Heffner of Allegan, MI; niece Kathy Hern; and nephews Jeff Oradat and Adam Dunn.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014, in St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana with Pastor William Lahrman officiating.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
