Margaret E. Deane-Wells, age 92, of Vidalia, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 in Summer's Landing in Vidalia after an extended illness.
She was born in Union City, Indiana; living in Marion, Indiana for twenty-five years, Muncie, Indiana for ten years, and has resided in Vidalia since May of 2007. Margaret earned her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from Ball State University in Muncie, and retired in 1985 from the Newman Foundation as an executive secretary in Muncie.
She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Marion, and attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Vidalia. She was preceded in death by two husbands, John D. Deane and Cliff Wells.
Survivors include: two sons, John Stephen (Judy) Deane of Powder Springs, Georgia, and David William (Connie) Deane of Vidalia, Georgia; daughter, Cynthia Ann (John) Harvey of Dragoon, Arizona; four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with the Father Dave Newton officiating.
Burial will follow in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
