MARGARETTE L. SEMANS, of Marion, died Thursday, May 1, 2008.
Born in Grant County. She was the daughter of Cordie & Anna (Wisehart) Leverton. She was a graduate of Van Buren High School. She was a bookkeeper for Marion Lumber and Dickens Refrigeration and her last employment was at the jewelry counter at Marion Kmart. She was married to Lanson V. Semans in 1954.
She was a member of Amvets; American Legion (Van Buren) Auxiliary; Hospital Auxiliary and she loved family, friends, flowers, bingo and car travels. She will be greatly missed and left many fond memories.
Survivors include brother, Kenneth Leverton of Marion, Indiana; nephew and wife, William & Cheryl Leverton of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; three great nieces and their husbands, Kristen & Chad Helbert of Perrysburg, Ohio, Laura & Brent Smith of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania and Anne Marie & Jeff Moser of Fishers, Indiana; one great-great nephew and one great-great niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lanson V. Semans.
Graveside Services & Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion with Reverend Dr. Thomas Mansbarger officiating.
