MARILYN HENDEY, age 63, died on Friday, August 29, 2008, at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis.
MARILYN was born on October 22, 1944, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ralph Wilson and Dorothy ( Nelson) Wilson. On August 1, 1970, she married Michael P. Hendey. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2006.
MARILYN was a homemaker, but also was a physical therapy assistant at Marion General Hospital for many years.
She was a member of Gethsemane Episcopal Church where she was part of the E.C.W. group. Marilyn loved to crochet, work in the garden, and was quite a baker.
Survivors include Son, Michael Hendey (Amber) of Marion; Granddaughter, Alexandria Joy Marie Hendey of Marion; Sister, Dianna Evans (Gary) of Port St Lucie, Florida; special aunt, Betty Cultice (Eugene) of Marion, Indiana; Sister-in-law, Sandy Hendey of Marion, Indiana; nephew, Garry Milius (Amanda) of Stinesville, Indiana; Nieces, Arienne Brown (Tony) of Raleigh, NC; Jennifer Laszewicki (Eddie) of Ft Pierce, Florida; and Stefanie Boucher (Joshua) of Bloomington, Indiana.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2008, at Gethsemane Episcopal Church, with Father Jim Warnock officiating.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 3 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
