Mark A. Michael

Mark A. Michael, age 55 of Marion passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family.

Mark was born October 12, 1962 in Marion, Indiana the son of the late James and Jamia (Davis) Michael.  He was a self employed construction contractor.  He married Julia Everhart on September 29, 2006 and she survives.

Mark was a member of the Eastview Wesleyan Church in Gas City and was a Chaplain for the Sons of American Legion Post 95 in Jonesboro.  He was an avid motorcyclist and had a custom built Harley.  Mark enjoyed building RC airplanes and spending time with family and his grandbabies.  He was their favorite baby sitter!  He loved his dogs “Killer” and “Khaos” and he took Khaos everywhere he went, even on the Harley with him!!  Mark was also an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.

Mark is survived by his wife, Julia Michael of Marion; four sons, Mark A. (MJ) Michael of Wabash, Nicholas (Heather) Hamm of Marion, Erik (Jennifer) Hamm of Gas City and Michael (Amber) Roberts of Van Buren; two daughters, Holly D. Hess of Marion and Alannah (Griffin) Pollen of Gas City; brother, Robert L. Michael of Jonesboro; 10 grandchildren, Trevon, Gary, Baileigh, Emileigh, Aiden, Christin, Eliannah, Aliyah, Jaxon and Kavier; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, James E. Michael on May 18, 2017.

The family will have a private graveside service.  Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Eastview Wesleyan Church, 414 N. 10th Street, Gas City, Indiana with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating.

Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana has been entrusted with Mark’s funeral services.
