MARTHA E. JOHNSON, age 92, of Marion, died at 5:51 a.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Miller's Merry Manor, Marion.
She was born on May 28, 1917, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late David and Madge (Baldwin) Fenstermaker. On September 5, 1935, she married Robert Paul Johnson who preceded her in death on August 10, 1981.
Martha graduated from Marion High School in 1935. She worked for 12 years at the Grant County Clerks Office, was County Recorder for two terms and then a caseworker at the Grant County Welfare Department.
Survivors include, son, David G. Johnson (Lois) of Marion, Indiana; four grandchildren, Michael Johnson (Juanita) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Lynn Johnson of Converse, Indiana, Steven Johnson of Seattle, Washington, and Brian J. Johnson of Marion, Indiana; 6 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Pastors Dane Leitch & Bob Garra officiating.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
