Mary E. "Beth" Beekman, age 54, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru.

Beth was born on January 10, 1956, in Huntington, Indiana, the daughter of Robert Swain and the late Sharleen Derr Miller. On October 22, 1994, she married Howard B. Beekman. He survives.

Beth was a homemaker and was very devoted to her children, grandchildren and adopted children. She also loved spending time with her special son, Ralf Wollbrugge.

Survivors include, husband, Howard B. "Benny" Beekman of Peru, Indiana; paternal father, Robert Swain of Huntington, Indiana; father, Merrill Miller of Huntington, Indiana; four sons, Joseph "Joey" Beekman of Peru, Robert "Robbie" Beekman of Peru, Jason T. Lee (Jennifer) of Marion, and Matthew Miller of Indianapolis; four daughters, Christy Jo VanDeventer (Dave) of Bardstown, Kentucky, Jennifer Jones (Tom) of Marion, Nora Lee Beekman of Marion, and Shakeya Carroll of Louisiana; brother, Rodney; sisters, Pam, Paula & Cindy; aunts, Barb Brooks of Kokomo, Sharon Schlup of Ft. Wayne, and Betty Magers of Peru; uncle, Robert Derr of Ft. Wayne; granddaughter, Malayia Renee Beekman, 22 other grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Knapp.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Pastor Bill Sheets officiating.

Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
