Mary E. DeCoursey, age 101, of Marion died at 7:35 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Wesleyan Healthcare Center, Marion.
Mary was born on January 17, 1908, in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of the late Nathan W. and Nora (Fort) Mossburg. She married Vaughn I. DeCoursey who preceded her in death on September 1, 1985.
She was a member of South Marion Friends Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include grandchildren, Michael & Beth DeCoursey of St. Joseph, Michigan; Meg & Bill Marutz of Stevensville, Michigan; and Stephen DeCoursey of St. Joseph, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Spencer DeCoursey, Quentin DeCoursey, and Justin Marutz; Caregiver, James Winters of Marion, Indiana, and many nieces & nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, John DeCoursey.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend David Freelan officiating.
Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from noon until services on Wednesday, April 8 at the funeral home.
