Mary Ann Gardner

Mary Ann Gardner, age 79 of Ft. Wayne, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Indianapolis.

Mary Ann was born September 15, 1942 in Rochester, Indiana the daughter of the late Lonzo and Lucille (Schafer) Meredith.  She married Robert Gardner on August 3, 1963, and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2021.

Mary Ann was a leasing agent for 25 years until her retirement.  She attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Ft. Wayne.  She relocated to Indianapolis in 2018, and lived at Allisonville Meadows where she made many new friends.  She cherished spending time with her family.  Her passions included playing Euchre, IU basketball, eating good food, and shopping.  Mary Ann was a generous person who always thought of others.  During her life, she sent thousands of cards for every occasion imaginable and was known for her ability to find thoughtful, personal gifts for everyone she met.

She is survived by two daughters, Denise (Dennis) Paramore of Indianapolis and Angela (Ryan) King of Rome City; and two grandchildren, Julia and Nick Paramore.

As per Mary Ann’s wishes, she will be cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date with burial in Matthews Cemetery, Matthews, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana.
