Mary Isabel (Uhlmeyer) Wheeler

Mary Isabel Wheeler, age 96, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Rolling Meadows Health Care, LaFontaine, Indiana.
Isabel was born December 7, 1917, in St. Patrick, Clark County, Missouri, the daughter of the late William and Anna Mae (Reischling) Uhlmeyer. She married William Robert Wheeler, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1988.
Isabel worked as a lab aide and dietary aide at Marion General Hospital for 26 years until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church; the Altar & Rosary Society; the MGH Auxiliary; Daughters of Isabel and Blue Army.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert (Agnes) Wheeler of Florence, Indiana, and Thomas (Mary) Wheeler of Sweetser, Indiana; three daughters, Mary Deanna Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Regina Thompson of Marion, Indiana, and Roberta Rosanne Phillips of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister, Betty Schreck of Wisconsin; and 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Alwin Uhlmeyer; a sister, Angeline Uhlmeyer; and great-grandchildren, Mitchell Hall and Nicholas Johnson.
Funeral Mass Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 17, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana, with Father Richard Weisenberger officiating.
Burial will follow funeral services in Maple Grove Cemetery, Sweetser, Indiana.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
