Matt Banter, age 55, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, in his home.
Matt was born July 11, 1958, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Brad and Jane (McConnaughey) Banter. He married Debra (Harpham) Fierstos, and she survives.
Matt was a U.S. Marines veteran and was a truck driver for MGS Trucking. He was a member of the Deer Creek Conservation Club and the N.R.A.
Survivors include: wife, Debra Banter of Marion, Indiana; son, Matt Fierstos of Gas City, Indiana; daughter, Tina Fierstos of Marion, Indiana; three brothers, John Banter, Steven Banter, and Jim Banter, all of Marion, Indiana; sister, Kathy (Banter) Neal of Michigan City, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Randy Goodwin and Miranda Fierstos.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
