Maurice "Bucky" Weaver

MAURICE "BUCKY" WEAVER, age 73, of Sweetser, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at home.
MAURICE was born March 12, 1936 in Grant County, Indiana, the son of the late Harry and Marjorie (Harreld) Weaver. On March 18, 1954, he married Patsy A. Fansler. She preceded him in death on June 30, 2000. He was a supervisor in tool and die at the Marion General Motors Plant for 40 years, retiring in 1991. He was a former member of the Indiana National Guard. He loved fishing, camping, traveling and working on computers.
Survivors include: mother-in-law, Virginia Stouder of Marion, Indiana; daughters, Bonita Sue Swafford (Dayne) of Jonesboro, Indiana, Debra Chambers (Robert) and Brenda Collier (Bill Nelson), both of Marion, Indiana; sons, Brian Weaver (Tracy) of Elwood, Indiana and Phillip Weaver (Brenda) of Sweetser, Indiana; brother, Gareth Weaver (Martha) of Van Buren, Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Emerson Weaver and a sister, Phyllis Corey.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Jack Wachenschwanz officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 13 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
