Max E. Warren, age 81 of Gas City passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Max was born August 30, 1938 in Summitville, Indiana the son of the late William and Lois (Harshman) Warren.  He was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

He married Joyce Whitaker on April 4, 1992 and she survives.  He worked at Active Products and was a delivery truck driver for the Chronicle Tribune.  Max enjoyed fishing, woodworking, playing cards and attending Gaddy’s softball games.  He was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Seattle Seahawks.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Warren of Gas City; granddaughter, Gaddy Orme of Gas City; his children and step-children, Carmen Anderson of Georgia, Dale Warren of Virginia, Ron Warren of Ohio, Max A. Warren of Gas City, Jill Stapleton of Marion, Glen Fry of Tennessee and Heidi Bader of Marion; a sister, Barbara (Kimble) Gibson of Summitville; and 12 additional grandchildren.

Cremation will take place and graveside services will be held at a later date at Marion National Cemetery in Marion.

Arrangements entrusted to Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
