MAXINE E. GOFF, age 84, of Sweetser died at 9:10 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Rolling Meadows Health Care, LaFontaine.
MAXINE was born on October 2, 1924, in Grant County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Arthur Timmons and Bertha (Crossin) Timmons. She married James C. Goff on April 20, 1940. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2006.
Maxine worked in the catalog department at Sears and then the cosmetic department at Meis until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of the Sweetser United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: son, James D. Goff (Patty) of Marion, Indiana; daughters, Pamela Goff-Haupt of Park City, Utah and Carolyn Myers of Marion, Indiana; Brother, William Timmons of LaFontaine, Indiana and 6 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
