Michael W. Hoffman, age 64, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Michael was born November 11, 1948, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late Donald and Ruby (Reynolds) Hoffman. He married Sandra J. Pulley on November 1, 1975, and she survives.
Michael graduated from Marion High School in 1966. He was a meat manager at Hanks Supermarket, Lances, and then worked at Sherwood Foods Distributing in Fort Wayne.
Michael was an avid Colts fan and season ticket holder since 1984. He was an all-around sports enthusiast. He loved bowling, Indy car racing, and had been a fast-pitch softball coach. He also loved Marion High School sports. He was the Pal Club little league coach, president of Marion Aquatics Club, and a booster of the 26th Street Singers.
Survivors include: wife, Sandra Hoffman of Marion; son, Jason Hoffman (fiancé, Sylisa Freiburger) of Cleveland; daughter, Amanda (Robert) Bruce of Tipton; sister, Janet McGahey of Marion; granddaughter, Karen Hatten of Anderson; 4 nieces, Deidra Stephens, Alicia Hummel, Michelle Craig, and Lorinda Miller; and his dogs, Max & Maggie Moo Moo.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hoffman, his father-in-law, Russell L. Pulley, and mother-in-law, Hursta Pulley.
Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Houser officiating.
