Nathan Edward Johnson, age 25, passed away on October 28, 2015 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Nathan was born on February 11, 1990 in Marion, Indiana to Duane Johnson and Pam (Mann) Allen. His parents survive.
Nathan was a 2008 graduate of Marion High School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in History and Underwater Archeology in 2011. In 2015, he earned his Master's Degree from Johns Hopkin's University in Museum studies. He was the Education Programs Coordinator for the Maryland Zoo.
Nathan was a member of the McCulloch Lodge No. 737; the Scottish Rite; and the John L. McCulloch Chapter Order of DeMolay. He enjoyed scuba diving, crafting beer and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife, Gabrielle Sell of Baltimore, Maryland; father, Duane (Lizette) Johnson of Marion, Indiana; mother, Pam Allen of Florida; brother, Timothy (Lauren) Pauley of Gas City; sisters, Brittany (Adam) Marvin of Sheridan, Indiana and Laura (Nick) Ashba of Marion, Indiana; paternal grandparents, Thomas (Mary) Johnson of Marion, Indiana; maternal grandparents, Jim (Danna) Gross of Matthews; maternal grandmother, Letty Mann of Marion, Indiana; many aunts, uncles and cousins; nephew; Luke Ashba and nephew, Cato Marvin, due now; nieces, Isla Pauley, Scarlett Marvin and baby Ashba due in June; and his two dogs, Sparkles and Luna.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Sarah Johnson and great-grandfather, JD Mann.
Masonic Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Private Funeral Services will be held following the Masonic Service and the family has requested this be for immediate family only.
Friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November, 7, 2015 in the funeral home prior to Masonic Services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Raven-Choate Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
