Olive M. Hale, age 90, of Marion, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011, in her home.
Olive was born on January 10, 1921, in Rushville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Herman and Lavonne (Quayle) Stevens. She married Thomas (Tim) Hale on March 29, 1941 and he survives.
She was a Chief Deputy for the Grant County Auditors Office for 12 years, retiring in 1988, and was a homemaker. Olive was a member of the Christland United Methodist Church in Marion. She was very active in her church as well as the Missions Store House. She was also an avid card player.
Survivors include, husband, Thomas (Tim) Hale of Marion, Indiana; daughter, Virginia Luiz (Joseph) of Dartmouth, Massachusetts; grandson, Kevin Luiz of Dartmouth, Massachusetts; niece, Rema Tribbey; and nephew, Max Stevens.
Olive was also preceded in death by a brother, Waldo Stevens.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with the Reverend Irv Behm officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
