Orben D. Quick, a beloved figure in Marion, Indiana, was born on February 5, 1974, and passed away on April 10, 2025, after a courageous yearlong battle with cancer. He departed this world surrounded by the warmth and love of his family, a testament to the life he led and the bonds he cherished.
Throughout his life, Orben was known for his kind spirit and unwavering dedication to his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Allison Quick, and a loving father to their children: Catelynn, Blake, Chloe, Rhori, Aiden, Ayden, Orben III, and Mason. In addition, he held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, Aurora and Khalani, whose laughter and joy brought him immeasurable happiness.
Professionally, Orben found fulfillment in his career in maintenance at Cafe Valley in Marion, where he was appreciated for his skills and work ethic. He was particularly good with his hands, often enjoying the challenge of working on cars and taking pride in fixing what was broken. Orben was always eager to lend a helping hand, reflecting his compassionate nature and the love he had for people.
Orben is survived by his wife and children, as well as his sisters, Tena Keys and Adria (Flint) Gordon. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love, and he will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on April 13, 2025, at 515 N 400 E, Marion, Indiana, beginning at 2:00 PM and concluding at 5:00 PM. This event will provide family and friends an opportunity to come together, reflect on Orben's life, and celebrate the impact he made on so many.
Orben D. Quick's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. A special thank you to Kris Tuterow and Nancy Austin for everything they have done. It did not go unnoticed, and we love you.
