Paul R. Ausman, age 77, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Marion General Hospital, Marion, Indiana.
Paul was born on June 11, 1934, in Maineville, Ohio, the son of the late Charles and Louise (Schlegel) Ausman. On October 7, 1954, he married Wanda Ellis, and they had 57 wonderful years together.
He worked at the General Motors plant in Marion for 39 years as a Tool & Die Maker until his retirement in 1991. He attended Grace Community Church. Paul was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was very important to him.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Ausman of Marion, Indiana; son, Jeff Ausman (Debbie) of Marion, Iowa; two daughters, Peg Zent (Michael) of Goshen, Indiana, and Amanda Ausman of West Lafayette, Indiana; and 6 grandchildren, Matt Ausman, Pierce Zent, Anna Ausman, Parker Zent, Alyssa Meeks, and Alexa Beall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Louise Ausman; brother, Charles Richard Ausman, and sisters, Alice Irwin and Helen Sanders.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
