Payton Matthew Boucher, age 17, passed away unexpectedly from injuries suffered in an automobile accident Saturday morning May 5, 2018.
Payton was born July 8, 2000 in Marion, Indiana the son of Chris and Susan (Lerner) Boucher.
Payton was a junior at Eastbrook High School and was on the basketball team. He was a Lego enthusiast, enjoyed drawing, marvel comics, and was very creative. He was also a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Marion participating in Vacation Bible School. He loved spending time with all of his family at Lake Webster.
Payton was loved by everyone. He was a true blessing sent from Heaven taken away far too soon.
Payton is survived by his parents, Chris and Susan Boucher of Van Buren; two brothers, Ryan Boucher (Kellie) of Marion and Luke Boucher of Van Buren; his uncle and aunt, Russell and Anna Boucher of Leesburg, Indiana; uncles, Raymond Boucher of Naples, Florida, Joel Boucher (Tamara) of Markle, Indiana, Jim Boucher (Annette) of Van Buren and John Lerner (Mel Ann) Bethalto, Illinois; aunts, Becky Wyant of Ft. Wayne, Mona Smithson (Bob) of Marion and Becky Gulley (Larry) of Marion; niece, Madelyn Boucher; many cousins and all of his friends.
Payton was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art and Donna Boucher and Dave and Mary Lerner; and an uncle, Ron Boucher.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor William Lahrman officiating.
The family has requested that an act of kindness be done in honor of Payton. He was always thinking of others. Memorial contributions may also be made to the Marion-Grant County Humane Society, 505 S. Miller Avenue, Marion, Indiana in Payton’s memory.
Arrangements are entrusted to Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
