PHIL E. EDWARDS, age 54, of Marion, formerly of Houston & Brenham, Texas, died on Saturday, January 19, 2008 in Marion.
PHIl was born on February 2, 1953, in Marion, the son of the late Bernard Edwards and Helen Ferguson.
PHIL graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Education. He taught high school and coached basketball. He was in the automotive sales field in Houston and Austin, Texas.
As a youth he was a member of the McCollough Demolay Chapter. He was an avid Purdue fan, loved golf and cooking, particularly barbecue.
Survivors include his mother, Helen Edwards of Marion; Sons, Kyle & Kelby Edwards of College Station, TX; Daughter, Kelly Ann Edwards of College Station, TX; Brother, Gale Edwards (Kathy) of Brookston, IN; Brothers, Terry Edwards (Cindy) of Marion, IN; and Craig Edwards (Jane) of Gas City, IN; Half-Brother, Rick Ambrose( Peggy) of Spokane, WA; Sister, Peggy Briggs (Chris) of Marion, IN, the Mother of his three Children, Patty Christensen of College Station, TX; a Special Friend, Susan Perkins, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, neices, and cousins.
He was preceded in death in 1999 by his Father, Bernard Edwards.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 22 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
